Subscription Terms

These Subscription Terms detail the rules of the paid Quinapse subscription. They form part of, and are governed by, the Terms of Service. Where these Subscription Terms and the Terms of Service differ on a point specific to paid subscriptions, these Subscription Terms prevail.
For consumers resident in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, the rights described in EU Consumer Rights apply additionally.
1. What you get
The paid Quinapse subscription ("Quinapse Premium") unlocks the features listed on the in-app paywall at the time of purchase. The current premium feature set, when enabled, is described in our Product documentation. Features may be added, modified, or removed; we will provide reasonable notice in-app or by email for material changes.
The free tier of Quinapse remains available to all users without payment.
2. Merchants of record
Quinapse Premium is sold through:
- Apple App Store on iOS / iPadOS devices, and
- Google Play Store on Android devices.
Apple and Google are the merchants of record. Your contract for payment is with them; we are entitled to enable the premium features on your account once the store confirms the purchase.
This means:
- Apple and Google handle the payment, currency, taxes, and receipts.
- Apple and Google handle refunds — see §6 below.
- We do not see your full card number; we receive only the subscription status and country of purchase via RevenueCat (see Privacy Policy §2.3).
3. Price, billing period, and currency
The exact price, billing period (monthly / yearly), and currency are shown on the in-app paywall before you confirm the purchase. The price displayed on the paywall is what Apple or Google will charge.
The paywall also displays:
- the total price for the first billing period;
- the renewal price (which may differ from the introductory price);
- the duration of any free trial period;
- the date on which you will be charged for the first renewal.
4. Auto-renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal is charged within 24 hours of the period boundary at the price of the selected subscription.
This auto-renewal mechanism is operated by Apple and Google; we have no ability to alter or override their renewal timing.
5. Free trials and introductory offers
If a free trial or discounted introductory period is offered, the in-app paywall states:
- the duration of the trial / introductory period;
- the price that will apply after the trial / introductory period;
- the date on which you will first be charged;
- the eligibility rules (typically: one trial per Apple ID or Google account).
If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription converts automatically to the regular price.
6. Refunds
Apple and Google control refund execution.

We are not able to issue refunds for purchases made through Apple or Google — we have no access to your payment instrument. If Apple or Google decline a refund that EU consumer law entitles you to, contact legal@quinapse.com and we will reimburse you directly within 14 days of receiving your unambiguous withdrawal notice (see EU Consumer Rights §4).
7. Managing and cancelling
You can manage your subscription, including turning off auto-renewal, from:
- iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Quinapse.
- Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Quinapse.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep access to premium features until then; we do not pro-rate refunds for the unused portion of the current period (subject to §6 and EU consumer rights above).
Deleting your Quinapse account does not cancel an active store subscription. You must cancel via Apple or Google as well, otherwise the subscription will continue to renew and be charged.
8. Price changes
We may change the subscription price. We will give you:
- at least 30 days' notice before the new price applies, through the Service or by email;
- a clear statement of the new price and the renewal date on which it first applies;
- the option to cancel before the new price takes effect.
In the EEA and UK, where required by Apple or Google policies and applicable law, your explicit consent to the new price is required for the subscription to renew at the new price; if you do not consent, the subscription will not renew.
9. Account sharing and one-account-per-person
A Quinapse Premium subscription entitles one natural person to access the premium features on the devices they own or control. Sharing your account credentials with another person, or operating multiple accounts to evade limits, is a breach of Terms §6 (Acceptable use).
We do not currently offer a "family plan." If we add one, the paywall will state the household composition and the parental-consent requirements.
10. Taxes
The price displayed on the paywall includes any consumption tax (VAT, GST, sales tax) that Apple or Google is required to charge in your country. Tax remittance is handled by the store; we do not receive the tax component.
11. Restoring purchases
If you reinstall the Quinapse app or switch to a new device, sign in with the same Apple ID or Google account and use the "Restore purchases" button on the paywall to re-link your subscription. The restoration uses the RevenueCat subscription identifier; no payment is taken.
12. Suspension or termination of premium access
We may suspend premium access without refund where:
- the subscription is fraudulent or charged back;
- the account is suspended under Terms §6 (Acceptable use);
- a legal order or store-policy directive requires it.
In all other cases, suspension or termination of premium access by us preserves the EU consumer rights described in EU Consumer Rights §5.
13. Changes to these Subscription Terms
We may update these Subscription Terms. Material changes affecting active paid subscribers will be announced through the Service or by email at least 14 days before they take effect; price changes follow §8.

These Subscription Terms supplement the Terms of Service and are activated when the first paid release of Quinapse ships. They are drafted to be compatible with Apple App Store Review Guideline 3.1.2, Google Play subscription policy, and the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU.
