This page explains how to request deletion of your Quinapse account, or of only part of your data without closing your account, and what happens to the data in each case. Quinapse is operated by Andrei Romaniuk (Kazakhstan). For our full data practices, see the Privacy Policy.
How to request deletion
You can delete your Quinapse account in either of two ways.
In the app (fastest):
- Open the Quinapse app and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm when prompted. Your account is scheduled for deletion immediately.
By email:
Send a request to legal@quinapse.com from the email address associated with your Quinapse account, with the subject "Delete my account". We may ask you to verify your identity by signing in to the account before we proceed. We respond within 30 days.
What data is deleted
When your request is processed, we permanently remove the following within 30 days:
- your profile and account identifier;
- your reading history and reading progress;
- your recall (spaced-repetition) session data and answers;
- your topic preferences and personal reading statistics;
- your access to the Service.
What data is kept, and for how long
A limited set of data is retained after account deletion, only where the law requires it:
- Financial and transaction records (subscription purchases, refunds) are retained for the period required by tax and accounting law — typically 5–7 years. These records do not contain your reading content.
- Pseudonymised, aggregated analytics that can no longer be linked to you may be retained for product statistics.
Crash-diagnostic reports are not tied to your account and are deleted on their own 90-day cycle (see the Privacy Policy).
Delete only some of your data
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove data. To request deletion of only part of your data — for example your reading history, your recall (spaced-repetition) data, or your topic preferences — email legal@quinapse.com from the email address associated with your Quinapse account and tell us which data you want removed. We respond within 30 days and may ask you to verify your identity by signing in.
Your account and the rest of your data stay intact. The same legal-retention exceptions described above (financial records, pseudonymised analytics) still apply — we cannot delete data we are required by law to keep.
Your subscription is separate
Deleting your Quinapse account does not cancel an active Apple or Google Play subscription. You must cancel the subscription in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings separately, otherwise it will continue to renew. See the Subscription Terms.
